Priya DeBerry is a multi-genre violinist from Brooklyn, New York, born and raised in Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn. At the age of 9, she began studying classically through an after school program in grade school. Although classically trained, her love for various genres continued to grow, particularly in Gospel. Priya has become a devoted musician in Church, where it all began. Performing with her 4 siblings, The DeBerry Quintet was the motivation and training ground for Priya to focus on taking her music to the next level. 

Before her decision to pursue music full-time, Priya earned a Dual-Bachelor’s Degree, in Biology and Health Science, Society and Policy. Her skillful technique and incredible music interpretation has afforded her the opportunity to play at venues including Madison Square Garden, Lincoln Center and the World Famous Apollo Theater.

Priya's sense of community brought her back to Brooklyn to teach science and music at Medgar Evers College Preparatory High School and to continue to share her talent and music with everyone she encounters. Throughout her music journey, Priya has developed a strong desire to help others reach their goals and find their true purpose and passion. This led her to start TheBossWallet which emphasizes the importance of Financial Literacy. She now teaches people the power of budgeting, saving and investing and helps people reach their goals whether in personal finance or business.
